Ukrainian Defense Forces repel all Russian attacks in Marinka sector – General Staff

The Russians are unsuccessfully advancing: frontline situation

Invading Russian troops are attacking in the Lyman, Bakhmut and Marinka directions, with about 22 combat engagements taking place over the last day.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: over 10 settlements in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

In the Kupiansk direction, 3 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

In the Lyman direction, 5 settlements of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire. 

In the Bakhmut direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

In the Avdiivka direction, several settlements of the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all of the Russian troops' assaults, however, about 10 settlements came under shelling. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 10 localities of the Donetsk region were shelled. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, about 10 cities and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

Over the last day, Russia launched 23 airstrikes, about 46 MLRS attacks

Over the last day, invading Russian forces launched 23 airstrikes and about 46 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

On June 29, the enemy used 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles against civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia and Chuhuiv.

The AFU General Staff emphasizes that the threat of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains very high.

Defense Forces destroyed 2 Russian control points, a radar station, and an artillery unit

The Defense Forces' aviation launched 11 strikes on the Russian military positions over the day. Missile and artillery units hit 2 control points, a radar station and an artillery unit at a firing position over the course of the day.

• Ukraine's National Guard destroyed 300 enemy soldiers in all areas of combat operations over the past week. In addition, they destroyed 5 tanks, 12 armored vehicles, 3 self-propelled artillery systems, 2 Borysoglebsk-2 electronic warfare systems, as well as a company stronghold and an ammunition depot.
