Ukrainian defense forces repel 56 Russian attacks in four directions over last day

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this in a morning update.

"The enemy continues to focus on offensive actions on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka axes. The fiercest battles continue for Bakhmut and Marinka. During the past day, 56 enemy attacks were repelled," the statement said.

The Russian forces launched 9 air and 19 missile attacks, 13 of them from S-300 air defense systems on the cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk

Over the past day, the enemy launched 9 air and 19 missile strikes, 13 of them from S-300 air defense systems on the peaceful cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, and fired 42 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure. 

There are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private residential buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The northern and northeastern Ukrainian borders with Russia and Belarus: the enemy shelled 1 locality in Chernihiv region, 4 in Sumy region and 10 in Kharkiv region.

Kupiansk direction: 11 localities in the Kharkiv region came under hostile fire.

Lyman direction: 4 settlements in the Luhansk region and 3 in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

Bakhmut direction: 12 localities in Donetsk region suffered from enemy attacks.

Avdiivka direction: occupying Russian forces assaulted 4 settlements.

Marinka direction: Pobeda and Novomykhailivka were subject to hostile attacks.

Vuhledar direction: the enemy stormed 7 localities in Donetsk region.

Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: over the past day, the Russian troops opened fire at more than 40 localities near the frontline. Among them are 2 localities in Donetsk region; 7 in Zaporizhzhia region; 9 in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

In Kherson region, invaders are draining oil from electric transformers, which causes blackouts in some streets

The invading Russian soldiers continue looting on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. In particular, in the Novokakhovka district, Kherson region, there are cases of oil being drained from electric transformers, which in turn leads to power outages in some streets of the district's settlements.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 3 areas of Russian manpower concentration, electronic warfare station 

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 5 strikes on the areas of the occupiers' personnel and military equipment concentration.

"Units of missile and artillery troops hit 1 control point, 3 areas of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as 1 enemy electronic warfare station," the message says.
