Ukrainian defenders show how they shell Russian troops with Gvozdika artillery systems

Ukrainian soldiers of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade have published a video of how they are using artillery to destroy the positions of occupying Russian  forces

This is stated on the Facebook page of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of Transcarpathia, reports Espreso TV.

The self-propelled artillery battalion of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade are sending “carnations” to the enemy," the video caption reads.

The 2S1 Gvozdika (eng. Carnation) is a 122mm self-propelled artillery system based on the MT-LB chassis, designed to destroy manpower, artillery batteries, pillboxes, and to provide passages in minefields and field obstacles.

For reference. The 128th Separate Mountain Assault Transcarpathian Brigade is a mountain infantry unit of the Ukrainian Army. The brigade is part of the West operational command; the brigade headquarters is located in Mukachevo, and the units are deployed in the Transcarpathian region.

The brigade was created after the reorganization of the 128th Mechanized Division, which had its origins in the 128th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the former Soviet Army.
