Ukrainian command has not made decision to withdraw troops from Bakhmut -  AFU's Eastern Grouping

The Ukrainian command has not made a decision to withdraw troops from Bakhmut, Donetsk region, but may do so to save the lives of personnel

The spokesman for the Eastern Grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhii Cherevatyi, said this in a commentary to CNN.

According to him, the military command will not hold the settlements at the cost of enormous losses of human resources.

“If we see that the threat to our personnel and our operational situation is greater than the need to hold the territory, we do it (withdraw troops), but we do it in an organized manner, without panic,” said Serhii Cherevatyi.

At the same time, he emphasized that there is no decision to leave Bakhmut.

"Only the command sees the extent to which there is such a need in this situation. And then the relevant decision is made at a meeting of the Staff. I can say that there is no such decision now," said the spokesman for the Eastern Grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
