Ukrainian border guards destroy Russian reconnaissance group and repel assault near Bakhmut

"The enemy tried to conduct reconnaissance in the direction of the border guard unit's stronghold near Bakhmut. Our fighters killed 2 intelligence officers and injured 3 more. But at night, the enemy did not abandon its intentions and brought in infantry from several directions. The artillery of the Defense Forces covered the Russian occupiers with fire, and the border guards completely stopped them in close combat. The line was held, and the enemy is still counting its losses," the statement said.
