Ukrainian aviation launches 5 strikes on Russian military positions, shoots down enemy Orlan drone - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on Facebook. 

It became known that up to 10 armed Russian soldiers were wounded and killed in the Donetsk region. In addition, 2 units of military equipment were destroyed, and another 3 were damaged.

“At the same time, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces' missile troops and artillery hit 6 Russian military positions, 5 munitions depots, and a radar station,” the report says. 

During the day, the Russian forces launched 17 MLRS attacks and 16 airstrikes

“During the day, the Russian forces launched 16 airstrikes, 15 of which were against civilian infrastructure. In particular, the enemy used 8 Shahed-136 UAVs, all of which were shot down. In addition, the Russian launched 17 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems. Civilians were killed by Russian artillery shelling of peaceful settlements,” the post reads.

The Russian forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions and try to improve the tactical position in the Kupiansk and Avdiivka directions.

On the border with Belarus, signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have not yet been detected.

In the northeast Ukrainian border in the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, the areas of the Semenivka, Zaliznyi Mist, Velyka Rybytsia, Morokhovets, Ternova, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Chuhunivka and Zarubinka settlements were shelled. 

In the Kupiansk direction, the impact of fire was recorded near the settlements of Kamianka, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Novoselivske, and Stelmakhivka. 

In the Lyman direction, the Russian enemy shelled Nevske, Dibrova, Chervonopopivka, and Torske. 

In the Bakhmut direction of the Donetsk region, areas of the settlements of Spirne, Berestove, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, Druzhba, Maiorsk, and New York were affected by the Russian fire. 

In the Avdiivka direction of the Donetsk region, Vesele, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka came under enemy fire.

In the Vuhledar direction of the Donetsk region, the enemy fired at Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Vremivka. 

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Temyrivka, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Kamianske, Stepnohirsk, and Nikopol were affected by enemy fire.

In the Kherson direction, the civilian infrastructure of Kachkarivka and Kherson was damaged by shelling from multiple launch rocket systems.
