Ukrainian aviation launches 12 strikes on Russian personnel, 39 combat clashes take place on frontline - AFU General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared the information in a morning report on July 3.

The report notes that Russian troops attack in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, heavy fighting continues. There were 39 combat clashes during the day.

Russia launches 57 air strikes and about 60 MLRS attacks at Ukraine in a day

Over the past day, Russian occupying forces launched missile and air strikes using 12 cruise and anti-aircraft guided missiles and 8 Shahed-type attack UAVs against civilian infrastructure. Air defense forces destroyed 3 cruise missiles and 8 attack UAVs.

In addition, Russian troops launched 57 air strikes and about MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, in addition to the destroyed civilian infrastructure, there are casualties among civilians.

The situation in different regions of Ukraine

On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched an air strike near Pletenivka, Kharkiv region. They also launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 30 settlements across Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops also shelled 3 settlements across the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near 4 settlements and shelled 5 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions with artillery.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Minkivka and Bohdanivka, Donetsk region. They also shelled over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements with artillery. 

In the Marinka direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near 3 settlements and shelled over 10 more settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops launched air strikes on Vuhledar and 2 other settlements and shelled over 15 others. 

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops shelled over 40 settlements across Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

• On the night of July 1 and 2, Russian invading forces attacked Ukraine with drones. As a result of falling debris in the Kyiv region, 3 houses were damaged and 1 person was injured. 

• On July 3, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian regions again. Explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi and Kirovohrad regions.
