Ukrainian army successfully repel Russian attacks near Avdiyivka, Vodyanyi, Spirnyi, Mayorsk and Veselaya Dolyna

"Russian troops continue to focus their efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Donetsk region, hold the captured territories and disrupt the active actions of Ukrainian troops in certain directions," the message says.

Shelling of the positions of Ukrainian units along the contact line continues, Russians try to take measures to regroup its troops in separate directions, and conduct aerial reconnaissance. The threat of air and missile strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains.

The General Staff emphasizes that the enemy has not stopped attacks on the homes of civilians and civilian infrastructure objects, violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, laws and customs of war. The infrastructure of more than 33 settlements, including Kharkiv, Lozova, Siversk, Belogorivka, Mykolaivka, Verkhnyokamianske, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Yuryivka, New York , Pervomaiske, Kamianka, Vremivka, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Suhy Stavok, Kostromka, Bila Krynytsia and Myrne was damaged by air strikes, missile strikes, and shelling from anti-aircraft missiles.

Russian occupiers have launched 3 missile strikes, 33 air strikes and fired 58 rocket artillery strikes at military and civilian targets on the territory of Ukraine in the last 24 hours.

The situation in the Volyn and Poliskyi directions has not changed significantly. In other directions, the enemy fired at the infrastructure from tanks, mortars and artillery, namely:

in the Siversky direction - the districts of the settlements of Senkivka, Chernihiv region, and Stepne, Sumy region;

in the Kharkiv direction – Basove and Kupyansk;

in the Kramatorsk direction - Yaremivka, Tetyanivka, Raihorodok, Siversk, Belogorivka, Kryva Luka, Spirne, Verkhnokamianske, Dronivka, Hryhorivka and Zvanivka;

in the direction of Bakhmut - Yuryivka, New York, Mykolaivka, Mykolaivka Druga, Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske and Yakovlivka;

in the Avdiyivka direction - Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka

in the Novopavlovsk direction – Velika Novosilka, Novodonetske and Vremivka;

in the Zaporizhzhia direction - Novopil, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Chervone;

in the South Buzk direction - Tavriyske, Myrne, Ternovi Pody, Partizanske, Chervona Dolyna, Bilogirka, Novohredneve, Bezymene, Sukhy Stavok, Bila Krynytsia, Olhyne, Visokopillya, Kam'yane. In addition, the enemy constantly conducts aerial reconnaissance with drones.

Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the districts of Spirne, Mayorsk, Odradivka, Vesela Dolyna, Vodyane, Avdiivka, Bezimenne and Novogrigorivka settlements.

In order to support the actions of the ground groups, Ukrainian aviation of the Defense Forces launched 12 strikes on the places of concentration of the Russian manpower and equipment. In addition, Air Defense units of Ukrainian  troops destroyed two enemy aircraft (Su-25 and Su-24M), one Mi-8 helicopter and an unmanned aerial vehicle in various directions in the last 24 hours.

Ukrainian units of missile troops and artillery inflicted damage on 9 control points of the division and battalion levels and on 3 areas of concentration of Russian manpower and combat equipment. The losses of the Russian occupiers are currently being clarified.
