The head of the press service of the eastern grouping of troops, Ilya Yevlash, reported this on the United News national telethon.

"Today we are making progress in the Bakhmut sector, we continue to drive the enemy out of their previously held positions, and repel attacks and attempts by the enemy to regain their previously lost positions," Yevlash said.

In particular, according to him, Russian enemy is unsuccessfully trying to storm Klishchiivka and Andriivka. Eight combat engagements were registered in the Bakhmut sector over the last day.

“Russia fired at the Ukrainian Armed Forces 519 times using multiple rocket launchers, cannon artillery, mortars, grenade launchers of various types and small arms, and used aviation four times. We managed to eliminate a number of different artillery systems and heavy equipment of the enemy," said the head of the press service of the eastern group of troops.

In the Bakhmut direction, three tanks, one armored personnel carrier, Nona S and Msta B guns, and one D-20 and one D-30 each were destroyed. An enemy electronic warfare control center, eight FPV drones and two Zala UAVs were discovered and eliminated.

The spokesperson noted that Russian FPV drones are currently very troublesome, and much attention is being paid to their destruction.

Russia is focusing on the Lyman-Kupyansk direction

“The Russian enemy is now focusing its attention on the Lyman-Kupyansk sector, resuming hostilities there. Thus, four combat engagements were registered there over the last day. Russian enemy is focusing its attention near Makiivka and is also intensively using its artillery systems," said Yevlash.

Over the last day, 663 attacks were registered in this sector, Russia used both tactical and army aviation 8 times. Russian enemy started using Su-35 and Su-25 attack aircraft and Ka-52 helicopters more often. In particular, 116 invaders and 18 pieces of weapons and military equipment were eliminated, including six T-71 tanks.

According to the spokesperson, Ukrainian anti-tank units skillfully repel Russian attacks, strike at concentrations of personnel, eliminate enemy infantry, assault groups and subversive reconnaissance groups.

Ukrainian Defense Forces also eliminated two different types of UAVs, seven Russian vehicles and three ammunition depots.
