Ukrainian army eliminates 620 more Russian invaders, 3 tanks and 24 artillery systems

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 18.09.23 are approximately as follows:

Ukrainian defense forces repel Russian attacks near Bila Hora in the Bakhmut sector

According to the General Staff, over 35 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian troops were recorded over the past day.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Joint Forces in the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian soldiers repelled attacks near Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. Russian troops tried to break through the defense of our troops in the area of Andriivka, Donetsk region, to no avail. Defense forces continue assault operations near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, inflicting significant losses in personnel and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating the achieved positions.

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, near the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, the enemy maintains a group of troops covering the state border. It is conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Joint Task Force in the Mariinka sector, Russia’s army conducted futile offensives near Mariinka, Donetsk region. Over the past day, the enemy made 10 unsuccessful attempts to force our units out of their positions. At the same time, in the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk sectors, the Defense Forces are holding the initiative, putting pressure on the enemy, conducting assault operations, and retaking our land.

In the Melitopol sector, the Defense Forces continue their offensive, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian troops, forcing them to withdraw from their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Joint Forces Operation Center in the Kherson sector, Ukrainian soldiers are engaged in counter-battery combat, destroying supply depots and successfully striking at the enemy's rear. 

Russia carried out 70 air strikes against Ukraine over the last day

The Russians launched 15 missile strikes and over 70 air strikes, fired 47 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian positions and civilian settlements.

Air strikes hit Nadiya in the Luhansk region, 3 localities in the Sumy region, 9 settlements in the Donetsk region, 3 in the Zaporizhzhia region, and 2 in the Kherson region.

About 80 settlements in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Yesterday, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine with cruise missiles and Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. As a result of combat operations, air defense units destroyed 6 cruise rockets and 6 Shaheds. Unfortunately, as a result of such terrorist actions of the Kremlin, there are wounded among peaceful citizens, destroyed residential buildings, and damaged civilian infrastructure.

In addition, since the beginning of this day, the Russian invaders have launched massive missile and air strikes using cruise missiles and attack UAVs against the civilian infrastructure of the Odesa region. Information on the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

Ukrainian troops hit areas of Russian clusters 9 times 

Over the course of the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment. 

Missile troops destroyed 2 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, 11 artillery pieces, 3 ammunition depots, and an enemy electronic warfare station.

• On Sunday, September 17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces completely liberated Klishchiivka, south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. However, the enemy still tries to capture the town.

• On the morning of Monday, September 18, Russian aircraft launched cruise missiles from Tu-95MS aircraft. The explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi region - air defense was working.
