The enemy is focusing its main efforts in several directions, including Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka, where intense battles are ongoing. There were 29 combat clashes in these areas during the day.
Ukrainian Armed Forces succeed in Bakhmut sector, consolidate their positions
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors.
In the Bakhmut sector, our troops continue offensive operations north and south of the city of Bakhmut. In the areas of Bila Hora - Andriivka and Bila Hora - Kurdyumivka, they have had some success and are consolidating their positions.
Ukrainian forces hit 3 command posts, 10 artillery systems, and a EW station
On July 11, the Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 15 strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentrations, as well as 4 strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
Missile forces and artillery units targeted 3 enemy command posts, 10 artillery pieces in firing positions, 1 anti-aircraft defense tool, and 1 electronic warfare (EW) station.
Russia carried out 65 airstrikes and 71 MLRS attacks against Ukraine
The enemy launched an attack on Ukraine using Shahed attack drones. A total of 28 kamikaze drones were deployed, but Ukrainian air defense destroyed 26 of them. Ukrainian defenders also eliminated 5 operational-tactical level reconnaissance drones.
Furthermore, the Russian army conducted 65 airstrikes and launched 71 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troop positions and civilian areas. These attacks resulted in infrastructure damage and harm to civilians.
Meanwhile, on the night of July 12, the Russian Federation carried out another airstrike using Iranian Shahed UAVs against Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being gathered.
There is a high likelihood of missile and air strikes being launched across the entire territory of Ukraine.
Situation in different regions of Ukraine
On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched air strikes on 2 settlements in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. They also launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 20 settlements across Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops shelled 7 settlements across the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions. Three areas suffered from air strikes. Ukrainian forces hold the defense.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops shelled over 6 settlements across the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. More than 2 areas were subjected to air strikes.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russians shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled Russian attacks in the area of Hryhorivka settlement and east of Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements with artillery, and two areas suffered from air strikes.
In the Marinka direction, Russian troops shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. Ukrainian forces repelled all the attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops shelled over 15 settlements and launched air strikes near 4 settlements.
In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops launched air strikes near 4 settlements and shelled over 30 settlements across Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.
Simultaneously, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions. They have consolidated their positions and are conducting counter-battery measures.

Previously, Serhiy Cherevatyi, the spokesperson for the Eastern Group of Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, suggested that artillery strikes could compel the Russian army to withdraw its troops from Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
