Ukrainian Armed Forces report escalation in Avdiivka sector
Svoboda Legion officer Maksym Morozov said that Russian occupation forces have significantly intensified their offensive in the Avdiivka sector.
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel
"The situation in the Avdiivka sector has escalated very seriously. The enemy is once again conducting powerful air strikes on our positions and the city itself. Russia is firing with unguided missiles and anti-aircraft guns, intensity of artillery and mortar attacks has increased. So the situation on our frontline is very tense indeed. This concerns, first of all, the enemy's offensive actions," said Morozov.
The officer added that Russia is constantly trying to conduct assault operations.
“Russian forces are trying to push our troops back from their positions near Opytne. In particular, to recapture the lost positions; they are actively conducting assault operations. That is why there is a serious escalation in Avdiivka. Russia is shelling Avdiivka and the area around the town with great intensity," he added.
