Ukrainian Armed Forces make progress and consolidate positions in several areas

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk directions," the press service writes.

Defenders in the areas of: Novodanylivka - Verbove, Novodanylivka - Robotyne and Novodarivka - Pryiutne were successful. As of July 21, the military are consolidating their positions and are also firing artillery at the targets of the Russian occupiers. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are carrying out counter-battery activities.

Ukrainian soldiers in the Bakhmut direction continue to advance north and south of the city. Heavy fighting continues in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka - Paraskoviivka and Klishchiiivka - Andriivka without changing the situation.

"The enemy is putting up strong resistance, actively using reserves, and suffering huge losses," the press service added.

• On July 19, Russia lost more than two companies of soldiers and 15 pieces of military equipment in the Tauride direction. According to the General Staff, the Russian army has lost a total of 530 soldiers, 6 tanks and 33 UAVs during the war in Ukraine.

• Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost 240,690 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. On July 20, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled Russian terrorists' attacks at the Kupyansk, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka directions.
