Ukrainian Armed Forces gain fire control over Svatov-Kreminna road, critical for Russian army in Luhansk region - UK intelligence
The Ukrainian military has gained fire control over the Svatove-Kreminna highway in Luhansk region, which is critical for Russian forces' supply and logistics.
This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
British intelligence draws attention to the fact that Ukraine continues to make progress in offensive operations on the northeastern and southern fronts. In particular, in the Kharkiv region, the Armed Forces liberated a significant area east of the Oskil River. Ukrainian troops advanced across the river to a distance of up to 20 km into the Russian defense zone in the direction of the supply hub of the city of Svatove.
Analysts suggest that Ukraine could now strike the key Svatove-Kreminna road with most of its artillery systems, which would further complicate Russia's ability to replenish its units in the east.
On the political side, Russian leaders will most likely be concerned that leading Ukrainian units are now approaching the borders of the Luhansk region, which Russia illegally annexed and declared a part of the Russian Federation.
