Ukrainian Armed Forces control crossings and soon Russian forces will have no escape route to Dnipro's left bank - Operational Command South press center head Humeniuk
The Armed Forces of Ukraine control all crossings between the two banks of the Dnipro river, so the Russian military will soon not be able to escape from the right bank.
Nataliya Humenyuk, the head of the press center of the security and defense forces of the "South" Operational Command, reports "Espreso.TV" live on air.
"They are trying to raise reserves, in particular, they continue with their constant stubbornness to mount alternative crossings, but at the moment these crossings are not able to work due to Ukrainian fire control, damage control, in particular the Kakhovskyi and Antonivskyi bridges. What they are building has again stopped communication between the two banks of Dnipro river," Nataliya Humeniuk said.
The head of the press center of the security and defense forces of the Operational Command "South" said that the Russian army is trying to transfer forces from the left bank of the Dnipro river with the help of civilian transport, which is still able to cross.
"They are accumulating forces on the left bank and are trying, even with the help of civilian transport, to then present it as a probable attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (as aggression against the local population), to take the manpower to the other bank. Where it is still possible to travel by light transport. But we continue to control the crossings and in the near future they will have absolutely no possibility even to escape to the left bank," she said.
