Ukrainian Armed Forces confidently hold Soledar - Yuriy Butusov
The town of Soledar in Donetsk region, is under the reliable protection of the Air Assault Forces’ 46th Detached Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
This was stated by Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov from the scene on Saturday morning, January 7, 2022.
"Good morning from Soledar, I am writing now from this city. It is a frosty, sunny day in Donbas. Soldiers of the 46th Air Assault Brigade are confidently defending the Ukrainian town," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
"The brigade is new, created after the beginning of the war. It consists entirely of mobilized soldiers, but if the same manageability and trust in the team were built in our other units, we would not have to talk about any problems in this area," Butusov added.
He claims there were difficulties with coordination and management in this front area in the summer, but now these issues have been resolved.
"The brigade's combat capability is at the highest level. The actions of the 46th Brigade allow us to stabilize the situation and are an example for our other units. I will keep you informed about the situation. There were a lot of crises here in the summer. All these problems can be solved now. The situation is adequately assessed and tasks are set. Controllability is the key problem," explained Yuriy Butusov.
