Ukrainian Armed Forces completely liberate Lyman in Donetsk region - Zelenskyy

On October 2, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reported that the city of Lyman, located in Donetsk region, is completely liberated.

He reports in his Telegram.

"As of 12:30 p.m., Lyman has been completely liberated. Thank you to our military, our soldiers. Glory to Ukraine," Zelenskyi said in the address.

Sergiy Cherevatyi, spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces, told "Espreso.TV" that demining is currently underway in the city, conditions are being created for the restoration of life in Lyman, and assistance is being provided to those who currently need it most.

"The troops are operating in the vicinity of Lyman, carrying out the same work in order to secure the city as much as possible. The rest of the units have been assigned other tasks, they are acting in further directions to liberate Ukrainian land," Cherevatyi said.
