Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters destroy 2 Russian Orlan drones, missile - Ukraine's Air Force Command spokesman
During the day, the Air Force of Ukraine's Armed Forces destroyed two Russian Orlan drones and a Kh-59 cruise missile. They also launched more than 10 strikes against the Russian army in the temporarily Russia-occupied territories of Ukraine.
This was announced at the briefing of the Air Force of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
"Over the past two days, three Ka-52 helicopters were destroyed by both ground forces and air forces. In addition, our units of anti-aircraft missile forces continue to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles. Also, two Orlans were destroyed yesterday. One Kh-59 air cruise missile launched by Russian tactical aircraft was also destroyed. Our aviation continues to patrol the airspace in the middle of the country", Yurii Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said.
On August 15, Ukrainian defenders launched airstrikes against the Russian army in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
"More than 10 airstrikes were launched against the occupying forces in various strategic directions - this is both the East and the South of our country in the occupied territory. The rocket systems of volley fire, tank columns, manpower, armored vehicles of the enemy, as well as combat depots with fuel and ammunition were hit", he added.
