Ukrainian Air Force shoots down 273 Iranian Shahed-136 drones

This was stated by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yurii Ihnat, RBC-Ukraine reports.

“As of today, since the first use of a kamikaze drone in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, on September 13, we have already shot down 273 Shahed-136 drones,” Ihnat said.

He added that Russia is also using another modification of the Iranian drone - the Shahed-131 - against Ukraine. It is smaller and has a small warhead. 

Ihnat also reported that the Ukrainian military shot down four Mohajer-6 attack drones. One of them survived and is being studied by specialists.

• On September 23, it became known that Iranian instructors were brought to Belarus, where they train the Russian military and coordinate UAV launches at infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
