Ukrainian air defenses shoot down 479 Russian drones and missiles overnight

The Ukrainian Air Force reported the information.
From 8:00 p.m. on June 8 until the next morning, Russia launched 499 aerial attack weapons against Ukraine. These included:
- 479 Shahed-type attack drones and various decoy drones launched from Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia
- 4 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missiles from the Tambov region
- 10 Kh-101 cruise missiles from the Saratov region
- 3 Kh-22 cruise missiles from airspace over the Black Sea
- 2 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from airspace over the Black Sea
- 1 Kh-35 cruise missile from occupied Crimea
The massive air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, air defense missile units, electronic warfare systems, drone units, and mobile fire groups.
As of 10:30 a.m., Ukrainian forces had neutralized 479 Russian air targets:
- 292 were shot down using firepower, including 277 Shahed drones and 10 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 4 Kinzhal ballistic missiles, 2 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles, and 1 Kh-35 cruise missile
- 187 were neutralized or lost due to electronic warfare, including 183 Shahed drones and 2 Kh-22 cruise missiles that failed to reach their targets due to EW interference
At the same time, Russian airstrikes were recorded in 10 locations, and debris from downed targets fell in 17 areas. Damage was reported in cities including Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and the Rivne region.
