Ukrainian air defense will be strengthened by US Avenger systems - Air Force Command
The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces reported that the American Avenger systems will strengthen Ukrainian air defense
Yuriy Ihnat, spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informed about this at a briefing.
"The Avenger systems, delivered by our American partners, have their own radar, can effectively work with 8 Stinger missiles at their base, and are extremely mobile. They will also work together with our systems and NASAMS, and IRIS-T in a single information field, which will significantly strengthen our combat capabilities," Ihnat said.
The spokesman of the Air Force Command explained that now the IRIS-T system in Ukraine has destroyed 100% of targets.
In addition, NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems protect the Ukrainian sky.
"This is very good and good news for us. It is not just one IRIS-T that defends the south of the country, but NASAMS also joins the defense of the Ukrainian sky," Ihnat added.
