
Ukrainian air defense system shoots down 49 Russian UAVs at night
On the night of Wednesday, June 11, the occupying Russian army launched 85 drones across Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed 49 Russian targets
The Ukrainian Air Force reports.
It is noted that the Russian aggressors launched 85 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitator drones from the following directions: Ukraine, Russia, and the United States: Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Chauda, and Hvardiyske.
Russian forces also attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kursk region.
According to the military, the main areas of the air strike were Kharkiv, Donetsk and Odesa regions. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 8:00 a.m., air defense defenses neutralized 49 drones in the east, south, north and center of the country. 40 were shot down by firepower, 9 were locally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
In addition, Russian air strikes were recorded in 14 locations, and downed drones (wreckage) fell in 2 locations.
