Ukrainian air defense shoots down one Russian missile in Dnipro while a second hits transport hub

Ukrainian air defenses responded to the Russian attack on Dnipro, shooting down one missile shot. The debris landed on a private yard injuring a woman and damaging two houses.

Ukraine's Air Command East and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Head Valentyn Reznichenko shared the details of the Russian attack in their Telegram channels.

"Russian attack on Dnipro. One missile was shot down by our air defense. The debris fell on a private yard. A woman was injured. Two houses were damaged," Reznichenko said.

Another missile hit and destroyed the transport hub.

On May 18, the Dnipro residents reported hearing explosions across the city. Air Command East confirmed these reports of explosions.

"Dnipro. The air defense successfully worked. Details later. We remind you not to take any photos and videos of the area," the statement reads.
