Air defense shoots down 10 out of 11 Shahed drones in the southeastern direction in the area of responsibility of the Eastern Air Command

The Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that intensive combat operations against Shahed-136/131 UAVs continue in the southeastern direction in the area of responsibility of the Eastern Air Command.

"About ten Shahed drones were shot down. More details later!"

Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, clarified that the Ukrainian air defense system eliminated 10 out of 11 drones:

"The enemy attacks again tonight with attack drones and guided aerial bombs. The anti-aircraft missile units of the Eastern Air Command destroyed 10 out of 11 Shahed-136/131 UAVs."

Earlier, Andriy Yermak, the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, informed about the air defense operation in this area.

The air raid in Dnipro was announced at 7:46 pm.

The air defense operation was reported at 9:16 pm.

At 10:24 pm, Yermak reported about downed Shahed drones in Dnipro. No other details are currently known. 

Air raid alert was announced in the evening of April 19 in a number of other regions.
