Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroy 4 out of 17 Russian air targets overnight
From the evening of October 18 and throughout the night, the Russian troops tried to attack Ukraine with various types of weapons. The air defense destroyed 4 out of 17 enemy air targets
This is reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The Ukrainian military recorded the launch:
- 5 Iskander M ballistic missiles
- 1 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile;
- 1 Kh-59 guided air-to-air missile;
- 1 cruise missile (type to be specified);
- 9 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs.
The Russian troops attacked facilities in the Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions.
"The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed 4 air targets: one Kh-59 guided missile and three Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs," the statement says.
On the evening of October 18, a Russian Shahed hit an infrastructure facility in Sumy, and the attacks resumed at night. A fire broke out in Mykolaiv as a result of a missile strike.
