The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information on Telegram.
"After midnight on May 20, the enemy attacked Ukraine from the north with 18 Shahed-136/131 attack drones, which were launched at the Kyiv region. All of them were destroyed by the forces and means of the Center Air Command of the Air Force," the statement said.
The Air Force added that at the end of the day on May 19, 2 Shaheds were destroyed in the eastern direction in the area of responsibility of the East Air Command, and a reconnaissance UAV Merlin-BP was destroyed in the southern direction in the area of responsibility of the South Air Command.
On the night of May 20, Russia attacked Kyiv with Shaheds, a series of explosions were heard, and drone debris was found falling in different parts of the capital.
