Ukrainian air defense destroys 4 Russian cruise missiles, 10 attack drones and 4 reconnaissance UAVs

The Ukrainian Air Force reported the information.
"From 10:00 pm to 04:00 am on the night of June 9, 2023, Russian occupiers launched an attack on Ukraine, using Iranian Shahed-136/131 attack drones and Kh-101/Kh-55 air-launched cruise missiles against military facilities and critical infrastructure," the statement said.
Russian forces launched Shahed drones from the southern direction, cruise missiles - from the Caspian Sea, using 4 Tu-95MS strategic bombers.
During the attack, Russian troops launched a total of 16 attack UAVs and 6 air-launched cruise missiles. However, the Air Force in the areas of responsibility of the East, West and South air commands, together with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, successfully destroyed 4 Kh-101/Kh-55 cruise missiles, 10 Shahed-136/131 and Lancet attack drones, and 4 Orlan-10 and Supercam operational and tactical UAVs.
Also, at around 8:00 pm on June 8, Russian forces struck a civilian facility in the Cherkasy region with 2 Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea.

In the evening of June 8, Russia attacked the Uman region, hitting an industrial facility and a car wash: 8 people were injured, 2 in serious condition.
