Ukraine’s military aviation strikes 5 times at enemy concentration areas over last day – General Staff
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out 5 strikes on the areas of the Russian troops' concentration, while missile and artillery forces hit 2 manpower clusters and 2 Russian military facilities
The General Staff shared the updated information in its reports on Saturday, April 22.
"During the day of April 21, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 5 air strikes on the concentration of Russian occupying forces. In the meantime, missile and artillery troops hit 2 concentrations of enemy troops, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, and 2 more important military targets of the adversary," the statement reads.
Over the past day, the Russian forces conducted 3 missile and 30 air strikes and fired 50 times from multiple launch rocket systems
The Russian forces continue their offensives in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Vuhledar directions – 53 enemy attacks were repelled. The city of Bakhmut remains the center of the fighting.
Northern and northwestern Ukrainian border: no significant changes in the operational situation.
Northern and north-eastern Ukrainian border: over the last day, 2 settlements in Chernihiv region, 3 in Sumy region and 3 in Kharkiv region were shelled.
Kupiansk direction: 6 localities in the Kharkiv region came under hostile fire.
Lyman direction: 5 localities in Luhansk region and 4 in Donetsk region were shelled by Russian artillery.
Bakhmut direction: 15 localities in Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling.
Avdiivka direction: the Russian army attacked 6 localities in Donetsk region and a number of others.
Marinka direction: 4 localities in Donetsk region were subjected to hostile attacks.
Shakhtarsk direction: the invading Russian forces stormed 4 localities in Donetsk region.
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: over the past day, the Russian troops carried out mortar and artillery attacks on 8 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as 1 in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
During the attempted medical evacuation, some of the Russian servicemen did not survive due to the lack of proper medical care
The Russian forces continue to suffer losses. On April 17 this year, from the temporarily occupied Luhansk region towards the village of Urazovo, Belgorod region, the Russian occupiers tried to carry out a medical evacuation. Fourteen trucks were used to transport the wounded soldiers.
"As they attempted to cross the state border of Ukraine into the territory of Russia, the Russian side did not let the military convoy through for some reason and turned it back. Some of the enemy soldiers had not survived due to the lack of proper medical care," the statement said.
The report added that another part of the seriously wounded Russian soldiers, more than 50 people, were transported to the field hospital deployed at the Troitske central district hospital.
