Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin shared the information in an interview with Ukrinform.
"I can preliminarily say that the versions related to sabotage or an attempt on the lives of public figures (regarding the plane crash in Brovary - ed.) have not been confirmed. We will announce the final conclusions of the pre-trial investigation in the near future," the Prosecutor General said.
Kostin noted that there were four main versions: an attempt on the lives of public figures, including sabotage; shooting down the plane; conflict on board; and pilot error, technical failure of the plane, improper flight planning, violation of flight rules or difficult weather conditions.
Currently, the investigation is being conducted by an interagency investigation team consisting of the chief investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine, under the leadership of the Prosecutor General's Office. According to him, experts from Airbus Helicopters, as well as specialists from the Ministry of Defense, the National Police, and the National Guard are involved in the investigation process.
As of today, all the necessary technical documents have been collected, and the expert reviews are nearing completion.
"Thanks to the help of our French partners from Airbus, the flight data recorders were decrypted. Based on the collected data, we have performed a 3-D modeling of the tragic flight," Kostin added.
On January 18, a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten in Brovary, Ukraine. 14 victims were identified after the tragedy, including the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
A number of countries expressed their condolences to the Ukrainian people over the helicopter crash in Brovary, which killed Interior Ministry officials and children.
On January 20, the government set up a commission to investigate the Brovary helicopter crash.
Ukrainian aviator Hennadiy Khazan believes that the first results of the investigation into the helicopter crash in Brovary should be expected in a year.
On February 6, Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that high-ranking officials were banned from traveling by helicopter until the investigation into the causes of the Brovary helicopter crash is completed.
On March 3, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the "Black Box" found at the site of the helicopter crash with the Interior Ministry leadership in Brovary had been decrypted in France, and the decrypted materials had already been handed over to the investigation.
