Ukraine’s intelligence on explosions in Moscow and Crimea:"This process will continue and gain momentum"
Defense Intelligence representative Andriy Yusov commented on the explosions in the capital of Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea and noted that there will be similar events in the future
He stated this during the telethon.
Andrii Yusov mentioned that explosions occurring in Moscow's central square, where important defense institutions of the aggressor state are situated, indicate that even those places and the airspace above them are no longer under control of the Putin regime.
“There are many explosions happening in various parts of the territories currently occupied by Russia. This process will keep happening and become stronger until the Russians withdraw from Ukrainian territories and justice is restored based on international law and the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine,” he said.
Drone attack in Moscow and Crimea
On Monday, July 24, Russian authorities said they destroyed two attack drones that were aimed at Moscow. They claimed it was a strike by Ukrainian forces. According to Moscow's mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, no one was hurt, but Ukraine hasn't commented on the incident.
At the same time, Mash TV reported that a building on Komsomolsky Prospekt, near the Russian Ministry of Defense, had its glass shattered, and drone fragments were found nearby. Mayor Sobyanin confirmed this, mentioning that the drone explosion blew out several windows on Komsomolsky Prospekt.
As a result, traffic from the center of Moscow to the region was blocked, and traffic on Likhacheva Avenue was also stopped.
This drone attack in Moscow happened after Russia launched strikes on Odesa, a Black Sea port city in Ukraine, targeting civilians, infrastructure, and port facilities. Ukraine usually doesn't comment on attacks inside Russia, but after the recent strikes on Odesa, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised to respond to Russia's actions. Ukraine also claims responsibility for attacks in Crimea, a peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014, stating they occur on Ukrainian territory.
Additionally, the Russian Gauleiter of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, reported a drone attack in Dzhankoy, where an ammunition depot was hit. He claims that Russian air defense intercepted and destroyed 11 drones in that area, and a residential building was also allegedly damaged.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated they foiled an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack with 17 drones on the Crimean Peninsula. They claimed that electronic warfare suppressed 14 drones, 11 of which crashed into the Black Sea, and three others fell on the peninsula. Three more drones were destroyed by air defense equipment.
As a result of the incident, the Crimean bridge was blocked, and two passenger trains connecting Moscow - Sevastopol and Adler - Simferopol were delayed at Dzhankoy station due to an "emergency situation" in the Dzhankoy-Urozhaina section, according to Russian media.
