Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Ministry responds to Minsk note accusing it of "preparing attack" on Belarus
Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that Minsk's accusations that Kyiv was preparing to attack Belarus are false
The spokesperson for Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, wrote about this on Facebook.
According to him, on the evening of October 8, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Minsk, Ihor Kyzym, was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. He was handed a diplomatic note in which the Belarusian side claims that Ukraine is allegedly planning to attack the territory of Belarus.
"This information does not correspond to the truth. We categorically reject the next insinuations of the Belarusian regime. We do not rule out that the handing over of the diplomatic note may be part of the Russian Federation's plan to carry out false-flag attacks and further accuse Ukraine. We call on the Belarusian people not to succumb to provocations. Ukraine has never encroached on foreign territories. We strictly adhere to the fundamental norms and principles of International Law and the UN Charter," Nikolenko wrote.
He called on the regime in Belarus to stop doing the Kremlin's bidding and immediately stop supporting Russia in its aggression against Ukraine.
