Ukraine’s forces repel almost 40 Russian attacks in all frontline sectors over last day - General Staff

Ukraine's General Staff stated it in its daily report.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to October 10, 23 are estimated at:

Ukrainian defense forces repelled almost 40 Russian attacks over the last day. 39 combat clashes took place on the frontline

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation remains unchanged in the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, near the border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, carries out active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, Ukraine's defenders repelled five Russian attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repulsed 7 Russian attacks near Makiivka, Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four hostile attacks near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. In turn, the Defense Forces continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. They have partial success near Andriivka, Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian forces, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, Russia launched over 15 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian troops defeated a hostile attack near Staromayorske in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the Russian enemy near Levadne, Zaporizhzhia region.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continued their offensive in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, consolidating their positions and exhausting the Russian enemy.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian defenders are conducting counter-battery combat, destroying supply depots and successfully hitting Russia's rear.

Russia launched 63 air strikes against Ukraine

In addition, the enemy launched one missile attack and fired 47 times from multiple launch rocket systems at both the positions of our troops and civilian objects in Ukraine. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Also last night, Russia conducted another air strike on Ukraine using 36 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 26 hostile Shahed drones.

Air strikes targeted 1 locality in Chernihiv region; 2 in Sumy region; 3 in Kharkiv region; 1 in Luhansk region; 9 in Donetsk region; 3 in Zaporizhzhia region; and 2 in Kherson region.

Over 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 12 invaders' concentration areas

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 10 strikes on the areas of Russia's personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration.

In addition, missile units hit a command center, an ammunition depot, two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, and a Russian electronic warfare station.

• On the night of October 10, several groups of Shahed drones took off from the Black Sea in the southern and eastern directions, and Russia's aircraft also became more active.
