The Energy Minister posted this on Facebook.
"Thanks to the excellent work of air defense, a large number of missiles were shot down. Unfortunately, there are hits to energy infrastructure facilities. Emergency shutdowns are in effect. The most difficult situation is currently in Kyiv, Odesa and Vinnytsia regions," noted Herman Halushchenko.
Ukrenergo reported that the 13th missile strike and 15th drone attack on the Ukrainian energy system on January 26 also had consequences:
"There were strikes and damage to equipment in the southern, central, and southwestern regions. In the Dnipro region, the main high-voltage equipment at one of the power facilities was destroyed. There are power supply problems caused by shelling in the south, including the Odesa region."
After emergency blackouts across the country during the missile attack, schedules are gradually returning. However, the deficit in the system is significant.
The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 47 cruise missiles over Ukraine during the Russian missile attack on January 26. In total, Russia fired 55 air- and sea-launched missiles.
