Ukraine's Defense Minister invites Turkey to join maritime coalition in Black Sea
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, during a meeting with the new Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine Levent Bilgen, invited Istanbul to join the maritime coalition

This was reported by the press service of the Defense Ministry.
"We are grateful to Turkey for supporting Ukraine from the first day of the full-scale invasion in ensuring the security of the Black Sea. We invite Turkey to join the maritime coalition," Umerov said.
The parties also discussed potential cooperation in defense production.
Ambassador Levent Bilgen assured that Turkey would continue to support Ukraine.
- On December 11, the British Ministry of Defense reported that the United Kingdom and Norway were leading a new maritime coalition to help Ukraine and wpuld supply ships and other vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strengthen its ability to fight at sea.
