On Sunday, Ukrainian defenders advanced about 200 meters in some areas near Bakhmut. At the same time, Ukrainian troops continue to hold the southwestern part of the city
This was announced by the AFU Eastern Group spokesman, Serhiy Cherevatyi, during the telethon.
According to him, Bakhmut remains a priority target for the Russian military. They are trying to gain complete control over the city. At the same time, Ukrainian forces hold the front in the southwestern part of Bakhmut.
"Throughout the week, where the risk of significant losses was minimal, our units have been strategically advancing and launching counter attacks against the enemy. In certain areas, we managed to gain ground, covering approximately 200 meters," Cherevatyi said.
