On February 3, the Center for Countering Disinformation has informed on a fresh narrative from Russia’s leader Vladimir Putin
The information was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
"It's unbelievable, but true - we are once again threatened by German Leopard tanks, fighting us through Banderites*," Russian leader Vladimir Putin said at a concert in Volgograd dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the USSR's victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.
The Center notes that with his statements, Putin is trying to manipulate German society and make it feel guilty by pretending to be the greatest victim of fascism.
"The leader of the Kremlin regime also added that the ideology of Nazism, in its modern form, its contemporary manifestation, again poses direct threats to Russia's security. The main purpose of such statements is to partially or completely stop the supply of military aid to Ukraine.
Some German politicians still oppose the supply of tanks to Ukraine, which proves that Putin's propaganda has had some success, but most still support the Ukrainian right to freedom and help us in this struggle in every way possible," the Center’s statement says.
*The term is a key propaganda term often used by Russia as a pejorative term for Ukrainians. The term derives from the name of Stepan Bandera, leader of a Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) factio
