Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of Russia's fake news produced and distributed on August 19.

According to the Center for Countering Disinformation at the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, on August 19, the Russians launched three major deceptions.
Disinformation: The Russian Minister of Defense Shoigu stated: "many residents of Ukraine did not approve of the policy of the Kyiv authorities regarding the rehabilitation of Nazism, including the residents of Donbas, who did not indulge the ruling regime in its Nazi aspirations, and then a brutal punitive operation was launched against them".
Manipulation: The Russian Ministry of Defense stated: "type B botulinum toxin was used against the Russian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Russian military personnel were taken to the hospital with signs of severe poisoning... Zelenskyy's regime authorized terrorist attacks with the use of chemical poisons against the Russian military".
Disinformation: The collaborator-"leader" of the Zaporizhizhia region stated: "The provocation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant which was prepared by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on August 19 during the visit of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to Ukraine, was prevented because these plans were made public".- News
