Ukraine's Bureau of Economic Security (BES) wants to seize Russian oligarch's property
Ukraine's BES has identified real estate it says is owned by a Russian businessman through offshore companies and controlled persons.
The Bureau press service shared the news.
"Employees of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine have located real estate owned by one of the Russian businessmen through offshore companies and controlled persons. It is a network of entertainment establishments and public catering establishments located in various cities of Ukraine," the report says.
During the investigation, it was established that the businessman tried to avoid possible sanctions and seizure of property rights provided for by the legislation of Ukraine. According to the pretended agreements, he planned to fictitiously withdraw the specified assets from his property.
By the decisions of the investigating judge, real estate was seized: a public catering establishment, land plots, a multifunctional entertainment and health complex with a public catering establishment.
The estimated total value of the seized property is more than UAH 400 million.
According to RBC, it is about Russian restaurateur Oleksandr Orlov.
Orlov owns the Bulldozer Group, which in Ukraine owns Queen Kyiv, Virgin Izakaya Bar, Eshak, Not Only Fish, Ryba Pila, Queen Country Club, Fish Fetish.
