Ukraine's Armed Forces inflict heavy losses on Russian military in Kherson, Kupiansk - General Staff

This is stated in the Ukrainian General Staff's evening summary for September 5.

The Ukrainian military repelled enemy offensive attempts in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka, Pokrovske, Bakhmutske, Lozove, Spartak, Soledar, Zaitseve, and Semihirya. In the Kramatorsk direction, they had tactical success and knocked the invading Russian forces out of the positions they had previously occupied.

As a result of a successful fire attack in the area of ​​the city of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, the Russian occupiers lost more than 100 servicemen killed and wounded, and two combat vehicles were destroyed as well. 

More than 30 Russian servicemen and 3 military tanks were hit in Kherson. An anti-aircraft missile system and six Russian trucks were destroyed near Kherson, in the area of ​​the Antonivka Bridge and crossing.

"The successful actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces led to the disabling of crossings in the Kherson area and once again nullified the Russian aggressor's attempts to resume the transfer of troops across the Dnipro River," the message reads.

In addition, it is also noted that Ukraine's Air Force, in support of the actions of the ground groups, launched more than 15 strikes aimed at hitting manpower, combat and special equipment, as well as other military objects of the invading Russian forces.
