Ukraine's Armed Forces have liberated more than 3,000 square kilometers of territory in 5 days, which is more than the invading Russian forces have seized since the beginning of April

This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

"Ukrainian forces broke through the Russian defense in some areas to a depth of 70 km and liberated more than 3,000 square km of territory from the occupiers in the last five days - since September 6. This is more than the Russian invaders seized during all their operations since April," ISW calculated.

American analysts stated that the Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region is crushing Russian forces and destroying the northern axis of the Russian Federation in Donbas. At the same time, the Russians are not leading a controlled retreat and are hastily fleeing from the southeast of the Kharkiv region to avoid encirclement around Izyum.

ISW added that Ukrainian achievements are not limited to Izyum. It is reported that on September 10, Ukrainian forces liberated Velykyi Burluk, as a result of which they found themselves 15 km from the border with Russia.
