The Russian army has begun to use glide bombs dropping them from Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft on the demarcation line, where they cannot be intercepted by air defense systems

Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Air Force Command, said this during a telethon.

"There is no lull. Unfortunately, Russian aviation is working. Yesterday, it was repeatedly said in the news that they started using glide bombs that can fly tens of kilometers, up to 70 km. They are using 10, 15, up to 20 bombs a day along the entire contact line from Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft that are not within the range of Ukrainian air defense, and this is a new threat for us that needs to be responded to promptly," he said.

But Ukraine currently has nothing to respond with, so it is waiting for the delivery of fighter jets.

"Because in order to drive those planes as far away from Ukrainian borders as possible, we need long-range air defense systems, such as Patriot. And, of course, we want fighters that can use air-to-air missiles over long distances," Ihnat said.
