Ukraine’s air force successfully counters Russian attack, neutralizing 14 drones and one Kh-58 missile
On the night of Monday, October 23, Russian forces launched an attack using drones and missiles on Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Defense effectively destroyed all enemy aircraft, including 14 drones and one Kh-58 missile
This information was confirmed by the Air Force press center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The attack originated from the south, near Cape Chauda in Crimea. The enemy drones were dispatched in different directions, targeting the southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine. Ukrainian anti-aircraft defenses effectively intercepted the hostile drones along their flight paths.
Additionally, a Kh-59 missile was launched by a Russian Su-34 aircraft from the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region, and an unidentified drone likely took off from the northern border.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire teams, the Air Force, and the Air Defense Forces, all hostile air threats were eliminated. The casualties on the enemy side included:
13 Shahed-136/131 drones.
1 guided air missile (Kh-59).
1 unidentified attack drone.
