Ukraine will strengthen engineering barriers in regions bordering Belarus - Nayev
Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn directions, spanning across Ukraine’s border with Belarus, will soon be fortified with additional engineering barriers for enhanced defense
The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, announced the information and published a video on Telegram.
According to him, the inspection of the defense capabilities of the Northern Operational Zone within the Zhytomyr, Rivne and Volyn directions has been completed. The administrations and soldiers have been assigned tasks to improve the defense borders and positions.
"Soon the areas at risk will be fortified with additional engineering barriers," he assured.
Nayev also noted that training for Ukrainian soldiers in various scenarios has started, and it will proceed according to the established plan. Units operating along the state border will receive additional weaponry and military equipment.

On July 10, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that 24 km² had been liberated in the Bakhmut direction and 169 km² in southern Ukraine. The operational situation on the border with Belarus remained unchanged.
