Ukraine will never be alone – Macron and Scholz assure Zelenskyy of support

The French president and German chancellor tweeted this. 

“Ukraine is fighting back heroically - with courage, bravery and perseverance - against the brutal Russian aggression. Together with Emmanuel Macron, I personally assured Zelenskyy today in Paris: We stand closely by Ukraine's side - for as long as necessary,” Scholz noted. 

“It is fighting for peace and carrying the values of our European Union: Ukraine will never be alone,” Macron said after a dinner on the Champs Elysees with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olaf Scholz.

During his meeting with Zelenskyy, Macron confirmed that he wants to “accompany Ukraine to victory and peace” and that Russia cannot and should not win. Instead, it must be punished for all its war crimes.
