Fico's government will not block arms deals with Slovak companies for Ukraine
On January 24, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico met with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Uzhhorod. As a result of the talks, they signed a statement on strengthening cooperation between the countries.
At the end of the meeting with Robert Fico, Denys Shmyhal said that the two prime ministers had reached agreement on a number of issues and had reached specific agreements. In particular, the Slovak government will not block Ukraine's purchase of weapons and equipment from Slovak businesses. The two countries will also cooperate on the supply of equipment for the construction of defense borders from a Slovak company.
In addition, Slovakia will support the Ukraine Facility program, which provides for the allocation of EUR 50 billion to Ukraine by the European Union.
Ukrainian to fly into space on Virgin Galactic ship on January 26

Ukrainian Lina Borozdina, who lives in the United States, will go on a suborbital flight of the Unity spacecraft along with three other space tourists, Liga.net reports.
"After almost 18 years of waiting, it's my turn to fly with Virgin Galactic," she said. On her Facebook page, she posted a photo of herself wearing a special suit with the flags of Ukraine and the United States on the sleeve.
Space tourists will spend 90 minutes in flight, including zero gravity. The ticket price is USD 450,000, including USD 150,000 deposit.
Germany to hand over six Sea King Mk41 helicopters to Ukraine
Germany will hand over six decommissioned Sea King Mk41 multi-purpose military helicopters to Ukraine along with a set of spare parts. This was announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius following the 18th Ramstein.
According to Pistorius, Ukraine will receive six Sea King Mk41 multi-purpose helicopters along with a set of spare parts. In addition, Germany will provide helicopter training for the Ukrainian military.
"The Sea King is a proven and robust helicopter that will help the Ukrainians in many areas, from reconnaissance over the Black Sea to the transportation of soldiers. This is the first German delivery of this type," said Pistorius.
Estonia to join Op Interflex program to train Ukrainian military
The Estonian Defense Ministry announced its decision to join the British training program for the Ukrainian military.
"Estonia has announced that it will join the UK-led Interflex training operation. Interflex has provided over 34,000 Ukrainian soldiers with basic skills in combat operations on the front line," the ministry said in a statement.
The UK Defence Ministry characterized the Op Interflex program as "training Ukrainians to survive and be lethal in the fight against an illegal invasion of their homeland.”
