Ukraine understands the timing of decisions on aircraft – Kuleba
In the near future, there will be more news about the possibility of providing Ukraine with modern combat Western fighter jets
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this in a video message on Facebook.
“Wait for the news. There will be even more news in the near future - specifically regarding aircraft. There is a very, very intense diplomacy going on at all levels, which is bringing us closer to the point where we will effectively close the Ukrainian sky, where we will significantly strengthen our air power, where we will get fundamentally new capabilities,” he said.
Kuleba said that he had a rough idea of the timeframe for making decisions on aircraft for Ukraine.
He emphasized that President Zelenskyy's visit to Italy, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom is crucial in the formation of an aviation coalition.
“In parallel, there is a track, as you know, of communication with the United States. We communicate with America through all channels. When I was on a layover in New York, on the way from Guatemala to Sweden, it was with my colleague, Secretary of State Blinken, that we talked about F-16s and airplanes for most of the conversation,” Kuleba said.
