Ukraine trials energy supplies from Slovakia
On November 19, state energy trader ECU repeatedly tested using electricity imports from Europe
Press service of "Energy Company of Ukraine" reports.
"On November 19, state energy trader "Energy Company of Ukraine" successfully carried out test supply of imported electricity from Slovakia with a capacity of 1 MW within 2 hours. In the last month, this is already second test delivery under import contracts of ECU. Company carried out first test of electricity import on October 27, the message says.
Company clarified that currently import of electricity is not of commercial nature and is carried out to check possibility of receiving electricity from Slovakia in case of need for power system.
"Situation with energy supply in Ukraine due to missile attacks remains difficult and changes every day. We continue to test possibility of imports, so that the country has additional tools to support energy system", Vitaly Butenko, General Director of ECU, noted.
