Ukrainian airline SkyUp has signed agreement with Wizz Air for leasing three aircraft on ACMI terms, including crews and technicians

The SkyUp airline reported this in a press release.

The contract was signed for the period from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

"The development of transportation under ACMI contracts is currently a central component of our development strategy. Signing a contract with Wizz Air is an important milestone for us, as we already have a positive experience of cooperation with this airline," said SkyUp CEO Dmytro Sieroukhov.

Mauro Peneda, Head of Operations Control Centre at Wizz Air, added that they were pleased to announce their partnership with SkyUp. He further stated that they aimed to achieve new heights this summer and, thanks to their cooperation with SkyUp, an exceptional level of service would be provided to their passengers.

SkyUp recalled that after the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, they began developing a new line of business - operating flights for other airlines under ACMI contracts.

The list of carriers that SkyUp has already cooperated with includes Tunisair, FlyOne, HiSky SRL, HiSky Europe SRL, Wizz Air Malta, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Corendon Dutch, Tailwind Airlines, and FlyEgypt.
