Ukraine should have put its economy on a military footing long ago - expert
Victor Shlinchak, Chairman of the Board at the Institute of World Policy, believes that Ukraine should put its economy on a military footing, as Russia has done long ago
He stated this on the Espreso TV channel.
"We are now fading into the background in terms of information because there are fresh reports from Israel, there is a more recent situation that is now on the front pages of world publications. At the same time, we are all thinking about why Ukraine has been faltering for so long and hoping that someone should help us," he said.
Shlinchak emphasized that Ukraine should have moved its economy to a military footing long ago, which Russia did.
"Because those factories that used to work in Russia in 2 shifts are now working in 3 shifts. That is, they realize that the shortage of certain types of weapons can only be replaced when they have their own production. Now we are still hearing reports that we have some new missiles, but we have not seen them on the battlefield yet. Moreover, I think this applies not only to missiles," he said.

On October 13, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that the U.S. will provide Israel with the weapons it needs to fight Hamas terrorists while continuing to supply Ukraine with weapons to fight Russian aggression.
