Ukraine sends 25,000 tons of humanitarian wheat to Nigeria through "grain corridor"

As part of the Grain From Ukraine initiative, Ukraine has dispatched 25,000 tons of humanitarian wheat to Nigeria through the "grain corridor"

This is according to the Ministry for Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

"The bulk carrier SKY GATE, laden with 25,000 tons of Ukrainian humanitarian wheat bound for Nigeria, is progressing through the Ukrainian corridor. This marks the first vessel this year transporting humanitarian wheat chartered by the UN World Food Program under the Grain From Ukraine program," stated the Ministry.

Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, emphasized that the Ukrainian "grain corridor" serves as the primary route for Ukrainian farmers to access global markets. This corridor holds significance not only for Ukraine's economic recovery but also for upholding global food security.
